Join in for a few laughs and some good times as Grannie leads you on a tour of several of Fed's bars. The current itinerary is set for a tour of Qushmarrah's Mystic's Dream, Roma's Roman Bath and another try at the Metal's Edge Cafe on Opera. There will also be one Sol System Bar to be announced. Come dressed in your favorite lounge lizard outfit, concoct exotic drinks for your friends for entry in the Official Fed Drink contest! Have a favorite bar? Send the location to Grannie to be included in the next barhop! Planet owners, here's a fine opportunity to show off your favorites spots on your planets to your slightly soused fellow Fedites. If you can't make it to tonight's barhop, don't fret - there will be another one next month. **>> PARTY ON! On the rare occasions when there's five Sundays in a month, the fifth Sunday becomes Party Night! Join us next week at 7.00pm eastern for a drink, a chat, to hear some stories and tell some tales, and just to hang out and have fun. The party will start in Chez Diesel (Social Centre of the Solar System) but who knows where it will move to! **>> SUNDAY NIGHT IS EVENT NIGHT Every Sunday something goes on in Fed. On the first Sunday of each month, Lyrynna runs a Fed trivia contest. The second Sunday sees Egg masterminding a fighting championship. The third week, it's training schools covering a variety of topics to help you understand every level in Fed. The fourth week, Grannie takes you on a pubcrawl. All the events start at 7.00pm eastern, so you know that every Sunday you can find something going on! **>> PRETENDERS IN THE PROVINCES? What has been happening with the duchies? Is there a war brewing? Have Chance and Budwarp had a falling out? Has Dee been unfaithful? Has Gallahad upset the once stable and peaceloving applecart? What has been happening to cutters, destroyers and cruisers? Can the maintenance plan for the bases be so bad as to allow so many to disappear? Noticing fleets from the Chaos and Epini duchies are beginning to diminish in a series of freak accidents, Chance and Budwarp were very quick to deny any involvement with the trouble blaming it instead on rogue traders. Budwarp, still upset about the embargo by Chaos of Gallahad, is said to be transferring large amounts of groats into a secret vault impervious to laser attack. Chance was seen in a weapons shop eyeing a set of planet busters for the Renegade... Both Dukes deny any chance of a war, blaming instead a third party. **>> BUDWARP'S LITTLE LIST Last wednesday night at Freya's usual Tea and Questions, Duke Budwarp announced he had a little list... a little list of 100 questions he'd like answered. After the shocked silence wore off, Budwarp reached into his Ducal robes to retrieve the list, and found that it was missing. Not having his list, Budwarp then tried to remember the questions. Unfortunately, the Ducal memory was also found lacking. With some vague mumbles about "getting with Dee on that", Budwarp accepted a cup of tea and joined the general conversation. He announced that he'd be back when he found his little list. Information Droids throughout the Galaxy were seen to heave a sigh of relief and relax. **>> TEA AND QUESTIONS WITH FREYA The weekly Tea and Questions with Freya sessions continue every Wednesday night at 9pm EST. This past week Oxcart joined the group and regaled everyone with tales of Fed UnCons past. Oxcart's adventures with Reggie, the rubber chicken involved rides at Disneyland, a shopping trip in LA, and a day in Tijuana. If you've met Oxcart, you can imagine these were no ordinary adventures. Factory management was also discussed... something many new Fed players may find useful. Feel free to join us Wednesday nights and ask all your Fed-related questions. **>> SUMMER LOVE? Can a certain Senator and comely widow find real happiness together or is it just another case of "summer love"? That's what citizens of Fed datspace were asking each other lately as Senator Jim and Galena met for a private tete-a-tete on Surf. A vast cloud of steam could be seen emerging from the bar tent. Galena explained they were only discussing the supply and demand for barbed wire. Inquiring minds want to know. Senator Jim, one of Fed's most eligible batchelors would say he was showing Galena his famous stamp collection. Jim's favorite stamp is known to be, "dangerous curves ahead"... one wonders... **>> SPYNET REVIEW Congratulations to everyone who was promoted during the past week, and commiserations to those who died.
