Ddking has just arrived. Ddking smiles, "Hello" Chiefsgirl stands and shuffles her notecards around "Good evening and welcome to tonight's Meet & Greet", says Chiefsgirl. Chiefsgirl says, "We gather every Sunday evening here to meet a different personality from the galaxy" Wolfyn notes the toe tag trailing behind the guest of honor. "Tonight my guest is Ddking who will tell us about himself and answer any questions you may have", says Chiefsgirl. Chiefsgirl says, "please give him a warm welcome" Chiefsgirl applauds and plops down on her barstool Ddking smiles, "Hi everyone, thanks for coming" "Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself, Dd", says Chiefsgirl. "Ok, i'm not sure where to start... but will give this a try", says Ddking with a wink. Ddking says, "I first entered fed back in the late spring, early summer area of 1997" "the first 2 or 3 times i quit and said last time i try that game", says Ddking with a wink. Chiefsgirl notes that was right around when she got here Ddking says, "but then i read the guide and gave it another try, and have been hooked ever since" "So you understood the guide?", asks Chiefsgirl. Ddking remembers how hard each promotion was back then "yes", says Ddking. Ddking winks and says, "well hard compared to now a days atleast" Shaman nods and agrees. "Were you Ddking back then?", asks Wolfyn. "no", says Ddking. "anyways, i worked my way up the ranks, and managed to get my planet shortly after the move to the web", says Ddking. Chiefsgirl asks, "Who were you back then Dd?" Ddking smiles, "Shoesj" Chiefsgirl says, "oh goodness" Chiefsgirl remembers that name "holy hell!", exclaims Hello. Hello exclaims, "you're Shoesj!" Shaman remembers Shoes. :) Kao smiles, "name rings a bell" "anyways i was waiting for the java version of fed to come out after the move, so it took me a little while before i actually tried it after the move", says Ddking. "for some reason i thought they were making a java version", says Ddking with a wink. Hello says, "they were plannin' on it" "That was the original plan", says Shaman with a wink. Hello winks and says, "god bless Ib" Ddking says, "but once pay to play came about, i became very inactive, and did not start playing reguarlily again until flat rate" "i personally miss pay to play as of late", says Hello. "i haven't been playin' $10 a month for 2 months", says Hello. Ddking nods, you dont always get your $10 worth "no", says Hello with a frown. Hello winks and says, "plus i miss the 4 hours for winnin' an Event" Ddking says, "but eventually i became inactive again and was looking for a reason to keep playing" "so in july of 2000 i restarted as who i am now", says Ddking. "thats how it's been with me", smiles Hello. Hello frowns and says, "still lookin'" Ddking winks and says, "and started to play in a little more of a controversial way" Shaman winks and says, "Restart, Hello" Chiefsgirl asks, "Controversial in what way?" Hello laughs "Still hope you stay Hello", smiles Ddking. "i'm startion' to consider it", smiles Hello. Ddking says, "once i got up to merchant and had enough money to keep me going for a little while," Ddking says, "I started to shoot down any ship I could find" Hello laughs Chiefsgirl giggles Hello knows, luckily not from THAT personal of experience ;) "cept in Cg's events", says Hello with a wink. "needless to say, most in fed were not used to this type of play, and it created quite an uproar", says Ddking. "yeah, so i shot him back", smiles Hello. Ddking says, "hehe" Were you trying to kill these people you were shooting, Dd?", asks Chiefsgirl. Ddking winks and says, "Many people thought i was targetting speciffically them, but it was just that they were the only ones that hauled to non-peace locations" "I was trying to shoot them down yes, but not to actually dd them, as my name might suggest", says Ddking with a wink. "what kind of reaction did you expect when you started doing this?", asks Kao. "I've actually met a lot of people and became friends with them by shooting them down while they were hauling...", says Ddking. Ddking says, "kind of funny how that happens" Ddking says, "I was expecting people to fight back Kao" "Did you exchange business cards as they were falling out of the sky?", says Wolfyn with a wink. Chiefsgirl giggles Kao asks, "didn't most people fight back?" Ddking says, "I was looking for a challenge, i wanted my facs to be dumped on, and when i got my planet, for that to be dumped on as well..." Ddking winks and says, "Yes, and some people, particuarily Kao and Huntress, would assemble teams to follow me around and prevetn me from shooting down their fellow traders" "And did you find the challenge being met?", asks Chiefsgirl. Ddking winks and says, "amongst a few otheres as well" Hello smiles, "I even booted him outta my duchy too" Hello bows Ddking nods, we left on good terms though :) Hello smiles, "of course" Hello gives DD a hug Ddking hugs Hello "Awwwwww....", says Shaman. "yes i think the challenge was met...", says Ddking. Shaman wipes away a tear. Ddking chuckles Chiefsgirl passes Shaman the tissues "although i was hoping for a little more resistance", says Ddking with a wink. Hello laughs Chiefsgirl smiles Hello smiles, "I'll take you up in the arena any day" Bront winks and says, "Well, resistance is futile, most of us don't bother" "many chose to ban instead though", says Ddking. "oh goodness", says Chiefsgirl. "although i'm not going to try to start another banning arguement here, so i'll leave it at that", says Ddking. Chiefsgirl asks, "Where are you banned from?" Ddking winks and says, "there's a fighting event after this if you want Hello" Hello smiles, "Of course DD" Ddking says, "ummm..." Hello smiles, "i promised i'd be fightin' in it" Ddking says, "last time i counted it was over 20 duchies" Chiefsgirl exclaims, "20!" Chiefsgirl boggles "about half of those have sent the official notification to IB", says Ddking. Wolfyn give Ddking a high five and a dewclaw. "Congratulations." Ddking winks and says, "I actually got my first unban the other day though" Chiefsgirl says, "ooooo.. an unban" "I am no longer banned from the duchy of Litterbox", says Ddking. Chiefsgirl says, "Tell us how that happened" Kao says, "20? damn...." Hello smiles, "Wow, congrats" Chiefsgirl doesn't think she's heard of a reverse ban Ddking winks and says, "well... Catspaws said she'd unban me if i agreed not to trade in her duchy anymore, or shoot at her PO's in her duchy anymore, if i ever do she'll re-ban me" Kao asks, "so you're still kinda banned?" Ddking winks and says, "i guess, kind of a restricted access type of thing" "Lets see.... i try to make it to as many events as i can...", says Ddking. "I think i won the fighting league this season...", says Ddking. Ddking says, "and i think i missed the cerebral league by 1 point" "ALready? still another month left", says Shaman with a wink. Chiefsgirl applauds Dd's gaming prowess "really? last seasons calendar said this season ran until feb. 1st", says Ddking. Shaman says, "I thought I read somewhere it was March 2...." Bront says, "Nope, December to Feb" Shaman says, "If it was Feb, it'd only be a 2 month season..." Ddking says, "it should be march 2nd, that would be 3 months" Shaman nods. Ddking nods, it says feb somewhere on the site though Chiefsgirl asks, "What are your favorite events, Dd?" Ddking says, "i guess we'll find out" Bront says, "So, you should have another month..." "I prefer the one-on-one fighting events, like Cup of Fearlessness and Guts and Glory, i like Warriors Revenge too", says Ddking. Kao asks, "have you ever been banned from a duchy you hadn't even entered yet? Just on your reputation?" "Yes Kao, the only 1 i can think of is when Rapheal banned me from Visions, i had never even met him before he told me i was banned", says Ddking. "I like the team fighting events too, but they haven't been happening lately", says Ddking. Chiefsgirl looks around the audience, "Does anyone have any questions?" "for cerebral events, i like Fedpardy the best, and also fed scramble and duchy safari, if that one still goes", says Ddking. Shaman raises his hand. Ddking asks, "yes Shaman?" Shaman gets out his notepad. Ddking grins "You mentioned before that you started in 1997...", says Shaman. Ddking nods Shaman asks, "But... if you could be any tree, which would you be and why?" Ddking smiles, "if i were a tree i'd probably want to be a big Oak tree" Shaman scribbles in his notebook. Wolfyn gets that fuzzy, wistful, and very unmanly expression on his face. "Any Fed love stories in your life?", he asks. Ddking smiles, "no, i've never been fed married, no fed-girlfriends" Wolfyn grunts and nods. Chiefsgirl wonders what Dd is waiting for "Ddking, do you like to explore planets? And if you do, which ones did you like?", asks Bront. Ddking says, "Yes Bront i do, but its been a very long time since i've actually gone exploring" Kao thinks DD likes planets with non-peace space locs Ddking says, "I enjoyed Baltimore" Ddking says, "although thats not around anymore" Shaman nods... Baltimore was a nice planet... Chiefsgirl asks, "no more Wink?" "i can't think of any others at the moment", says Ddking. Chiefsgirl pouts Shaman frowns and says, "He was in Mahiethy for a while.... just up and poofed." Shaman frowns and says, "He hasn't replied to any e-mails" Ddking smiles, "yes Kao, those are my favorite" Chiefsgirl enjoyed Baltimore too "does anyone else have any questions?", asks Ddking. Hello asks, "yeah, can you still fight like i remember?" "Do you have any plans to become a Duke?", asks Shaman. Wolfyn asks, "How about the inspiration question? Who first inspired or helped you in Fed?" "he's very good", says Chiefsgirl. "I'd like to think so Hello, i've been in a bit of a slump lately though", says Ddking with a wink. Hello grins "in other words no", says Hello with a wink. "I'll wake ya up", smiles Hello. "Trust me", says Hello with a wink. Ddking says, "Ok i'll answer the Duke question first..." "Floatin' target with a cane", says Hello with a wink. Hello bows "Yes i plan to go for Duke, its the only rank i've never been... one of the few challenges i feel i have left", says Ddking. Hello laughs Hello winks and says, "Challenges, it's impossible" Shaman smiles, "It's a blast" "Can I offer some advice?", asks Shaman. Hello smiles, "i consider myself lucky 2 have 2 planets" "If i'd get any planets or now, i'll have to wait and see i guess", says Ddking with a wink. Ddking asks, "yes Shaman?" "Do it yourself... work out the puzzle....", says Shaman. Hello says, "agreed" "if you're gonna do the puzzle, do it w/o help", says Hello. "It's an unbelievable feeling.", says Shaman. Ddking nods, I plan to :) "Well, help that doesn't give you the answer.", says Shaman. Myangel smiles Bront nods "I've made a couple trips there and know a couple things... but first time i go back its going to be to make a readable map of Horsell", says Ddking with a wink. "and then i'm going to take it from there", says Ddking. Ddking smiles, "thanks Shaman" Shaman smiles, "No problem" Ddking says, "lets see, to anwer your question Wolfyn... Wink was one of the first people to help me out..." "this was back in 97", says Ddking. "i had just became a captain and started to take jobs off of the boards", says Ddking. "i did not even realize that actual PO's where issuing those jobs at the time", says Ddking with a wink. Hello grins "Wink was Baltimore?", asks Wolfyn. Ddking says, "yes" "Winkie5970 back then", says Ddking. Ddking winks and says, "anyways, i was overwhelmed when to actually meet and become friends with an actual overlord of a planet!" Wolfyn grins. "I spent a lot of my time in Bourbon, although i never joined that duchy", says Ddking. Shaman remembers one of the first POs he met.... I was scared out of my pants. Chiefsgirl still has those pants too Hello grins Myangel giggles Ddking says, "I was helped along by Sholuvr, Aiki, and Lovelylady in my early days as DDKing" Bront chuckles Hello was nervous as hell durin' his first duchy interview Hello smiles, "Raise your hands if you miss Sho" Hello sticks both up "What duchies have you been in Dd?", asks Chiefsgirl. Ddking raises both Chiefsgirl raises her hands and waves them around Shaman raises a hand. Bront raises a haid Mind raises shammy's other hand Myangel raises her hand as well..the lemon danishes are piling up from the morning coffee chats ;) "I started out in Halloween, and then moved to Isleofview when Sho became duchess...", says Ddking. Shaman says, "Isle was an awesome planet..." "after Sho left, i joined Westward", says Ddking. Ddking nods Hello remembers :) "followed by Fizbin", says Ddking. Ddking says, "then Hof left, so i joined Virulence, and that is where i am today" "now everyone left", says Hello with a wink. Hello frowns and says, "yeah" Ddking says, "I have been very happy in Virulence so far" Chiefsgirl looks around, "Any other questions for Dd?" "Hmmmmm", says Shaman. Bront looks around Mind coughs Kao smiles and has another drink Shaman scratches his elbow. Shaman asks, "aNy embarassing moments?" "Do you have any parting comments for us, Dd?", asks Chiefsgirl. "if any of you know of anyone interested in learning how to fight, me and Bront plan to host a class this Thursday, before Warrior's Revenge", says Ddking. Chiefsgirl makes note to attend that "This doesn't count as an embarassing moment either", says Bront with a wink. Chiefsgirl giggles Ddking says, "hmmm... nothing to embarrassing i can think of" "We're open to any teachers as well as students", says Bront. "Have you seen my nail clipper?", asks Shaman. "the usual xt's that should have been says and stuff like that...", says Ddking. "Who does stuff like that?", asks Shaman. Shaman smites Mind ;) Mind grins "You leave me out of this", says Mind with a wink. Myangel grins "How was i to know you switched to tb's on me", says Mind with a wink. "If anyone ever needs help with anything, I'm always willing to help, (even if i shoot you down) so dont be afraid to ask", says Ddking. Chiefsgirl stands "I'd like to thank Ddking for being our guest tonight", says Chiefsgirl. "Thanks for hosting CG", smiles Ddking. Chiefsgirl says, "Join me in two weeks when Ratttso will be my guest" Chiefsgirl applauds wildly for Ddking Ddking smiles, "Thanks for coming everyone" Shaman applauds and spills his drink.... Shaman says, "Awww... dammit." Kao hands Shammie a towel "Thank you all for coming", says Chiefsgirl. |
