Chiefsgirl says, "Forgive me for being late"

Memphisdave smiles...they love me...they really love me.....that or they like a good roast

"one sec to pull myself teogether", says Chiefsgirl.

Snowstar looks around at the crowd, "Should we forgive her?"

Von chuckles.

Miasmiccloud resounding yes :)

Tempest like roast, but prefers shicken.

Kewlcat winks and says, "nah"

"Sure", says Von.

Tempest says, "chicken too."

"Ok then....you're forgiven CG", smiles Snowstar.

Chiefsgirl is having computer problems

"Well....I awoke from my stasis field for the first time in December of 1996...after having been refferred here by my best RL friend. As i recall it was during the great migration of people coming in because of the new AOL flat-rate.", says Memphisdave.

"At that time i had zero typing skills....zero online communication skills...I was literally in awe of Fed when i first signed in. Many of you here know what im talking about....it was like the first taste of a reallly addictive substance. So began the", says Memphisdave.

Memphisdave says, "In AOL Fed my name was David6281. My friend...a.k.a. URASPY, who was a trader at the time gave me my first meg... which of course....at that time meant the world to me"

Snowstar winks and says, "That was a lot for a trader to give away too"

"Just as soon as i got the hang of the commands i took to working like a fish in the water....at that time i was still quite inexperienced with the social aspect of the game", says Memphisdave.

"so working was my life. I averaged about 10 hours of active fed a day. on the weekends sometimes 24 hours straight.", says Memphisdave.

Memphisdave says, "When i did crawl out of my ship and try to socialize...i naturally gravitated towards CD'z...after all..it was the social center of the galaxy. It was there that i first donned the garb i've been wearing for 5 years. My black Armani suit."

"that visual is about right", says Memphisdave.

Memphisdave says, "say There are a lot of awesome people i met in those days hanging out in CD'z for hours...though many of the names escape me. I was commonly seen sitting on the piano bench taking requests....I even played at a few weddings"

Von thinks everyone experienced that at one time or another.

Memphisdave says, "Most prominently i played at the marriage of Gidget9081 and CoolOne66...."

Memphisdave says, "During this time...while doing a di routes i took a wild guess and ventured into Lagoon...Lagoon welcomed me quite warmly...MikeFlood and his RL wife Shy5560 helped me out tremendously. Mike gave me my first factories on the planet Cornucopia."

"Mike gave me my beloved office...back when offices meant something. I happily spent the next couple of months going through merchie...jp...gm...in lagoon. Solarbabe was a nice duchess....though i never got to speak with her too much. She was after all.", says Memphisdave.

"After more work i finally got ready to online my planet. I decided since i couldn't come up with anything any better....that i would name it after my home town. Memphis. My planet would be a replica of the ancient earth city.", says Memphisdave.

"An interesting sidenote....URASPY and I sat in his office on the planet Vega for 4 hours wondering why the planet wouldn't appear....One of our PO friends at the time JSwriting informed me that typing ONLINE might be a good idea. Laugh it up....but it", says Memphisdave.

"Over the next few months i had a great time...it was after all...the Golden Age of Fed....nobody knew what lurked around the corner come September of 97. the dreaded announcement.", says Memphisdave.

Memphisdave says, "That was one of the most disconcerting days i had ever had...by that time Fed was an addiction....and the thought that things were gonna change forever disturbed me."

"I made the decision to give up Fed for what i thought would be forever...i entrusted URASPY with my account. It was he who....when he realized you couldn't have numbers in a web fed name....dubbed me Memphisdave...which to this day i rag him about.", says Memphisdave.

"What a dumb name...but i didn't feel like DD'ing to change it...", says Memphisdave.

Snowstar grins.

Memphisdave says, "After purchasing just one round of time credits I entered the great sleep....Never popping in for more than 20 seconds to yell on the comms that i still existed."

Von grins at Ford and reaches for the duct tape.

Memphisdave says, "I eventually wrested control of myself from URASPY and decided to pop in for a few hours....at which time I found out that I had been removed from Lagoon...which was in shambles at the time...."

Juel remembers those yells

"So i spoke with the Duchess Dez of Gumbo(previously of Lagoon)....and got Memphis parked in Gumbo for the next", says Memphisdave.

Memphisdave says, "So from the latter part of 1998...1999...and the majority of 2000 i did not exist. I can't be certain precisely what time Fed went 10 bucks a month....but i joined back again shortly thereafter...I think it was winter of 2000....though i could be wrong"

"Xyli...a friend i made in another game...and URASPY both resided in Juelz....They convinced me to try and join....So i spoke with Qaxlor....since the Duchess Juel wasn't in at the time....and badda bing badda bang badda boom...i was a Juelzian.", says Memphisdave.

Memphisdave has given Juel a sloppy hug!

"Juelz was great...it reminded me of the friendship's i used to have in Lagoon.", says Memphisdave.

Snowstar smiles at her duchess.

Memphisdave says, "I proceeded to go from Thane to Baron over the next year....making beloved friends along the way....Juel,Qaxlor,Snowstar, Snowlily....to name a few."

Memphisdave says, "I finally decided become a Duke...something i had wanted to do for some time. I took along Snowstar,Snowlily, and Ruylupez on the trip to Horsell....their support was invaluable...."

Memphisdave says, "After becoming a Duke i finally retired from my "work all the time" attitude. With all the spare time i've become involved in the Fighting and Cerebral events...just having fun and making friends."

Memphisdave says, "only about 4 months now...could be a little longer....im really bad with keeping dates"

"well...in a way yes...and in away no....The character you see today is the same one from 96.....no DD...but during the move to web fed i did dd flying into the sun", says Memphisdave.

"it was early in my fed experience...i didn't have much ability with the women.....i was showing Raspy and his girlfriend through their newly built house on Memphis....with them was this girl Wyntershae....she had the hots for me....so she jumped me and", says Memphisdave.
