WEB FED AWARD WINNING PLANET:
MTNBROOK - OVERLORD HEATHERJN

Reviewed on August 30, 1998

By way of contrast, we've also got the planet Mtnbrook. From orbit, it looks a lot like the state of Maine. (We're not entirely sure if this is referring to the environment or the actual shape of Maine, but we're hoping it's the latter because we really like that mental image!) When you land, you're greeted by a gorgeous day in a comforting rural area.

If a word was used to sum up Mtnbrook, our reviewdroid would have to pick "comforting." Mtnbrook is a virtual haven to the weary traveler. The most impersonal area of almost any planet, the business area, is welcoming and relaxing--there's a nice woodstove in the exchange, for example, and a mysterious but friendly bartender running a large communal store.

There's more to do aside from the normal town amenities, of course. Our reviewdroid loved walking along the coast, feeling the sand crunch under its bare (metal) feet. You can pop by the pier area and see the vendors hawk their wares, or just sit and look at the sunset. There's a nice cabin you can take time out in, or alternately you can go for a hike through the woods. There's even a little fishing boat you can take out onto the water--mind the jumping fish!

Mtnbrook is a charming planet, through and through. Our reviewdroids heartily recommend you stop by for a visit when you've got a little bit of time, either on your own or with a close friend. It's quite clear that a lot of time, effort, and love has gone into the construction of this planet, and it certainly paid off. Congratulations Heatherjn, you've just won a Carpenter Award!
