THE MONTH IN BRIEF

Fed started resetting at the weekends, as well as during the week, so housekeeping chores such as tidying up old Fed characters are now done every single day.

The Fed Store opened, selling a range of stuff from t-shirts to mousemats. See http://www.cafeshops.com/snark .

In the real world, the Greek government went mad and banned computer games - all computer games! The overly-broad wording in a law aimed at Internet gambling found Internet cafes being closed down if they allowed their users to play online games.

I REALLY MEANT IT!

Sitting in Fed early on Sunday morning, while proof-reading this issue of the Chronicle, at least three players TBed me to ask me a question. They all wanted to know: Was Fed going to shut down for maintenance?

Well, folks, when I announced a few weeks back that from now on Fed would be closing down for maintenance every day, including Saturdays and Sundays, you know what? I wasn't lying, I wasn't joking, I wasn't deluded. I meant it.

Fed really does close down for maintenance on weekends now, as well as weekdays. Every day. Seven days a week.

Honest!

REAL LIFE NEWS: ASTRONAUT IN LUNAR LOONY INCIDENT

Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon (after Neil Armstrong), is in the news due to an altercation with a mad conspiracy theorist who claimed the moon landings were faked. When Bart Sibrel approached the astronaut outside a Beverly Hills hotel and demanded he swear on a Bible that the landing really did happen, Buzz punched him. Hooray!

Witnesses say Mr Sibrel "aggressively poked Mr Aldrin with the Bible" before he was punched, and that he had lured Mr Aldrin to the hotel under false pretences in order to interview him. He had then followed him, calling him a "thief, liar and coward."

I think we can all agree that the punch was fully justified!

The rumor that the moon landings were faked is a conspiracy theory that just won't die, mostly due to stupid TV programs that keep it alive. For the claims these lunar loonies make, and the arguments that show them to be rubbish, go to http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html.
