CONGENE: MOVIES, GAMES AND MUSIC - ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM

Written here are the epic events leading to, and the production of the Entertainment System:

Re-wind 122 years:

Space, it’s big!  Mankind ventured far and wide throughout the Known Universe in search of new lands and new forms of wealth.  With seemingly endless planets to terra-form and exploit Humanity experienced a great population explosion.  People worked long and hard to tame their new worlds, and soon became masters of their domain.  Eventually, life became easier and people found they grew bored.  Thus began the search for any form of leisure and recreation to ease their weary minds.

The Demand and Price of Entertainment:

At first, the movement was slow.  Singers, actors, toy-makers; anyone in the business tried to meet the needs of the Masses, but it became evident that the people always wanted more.  Soon, on every world the streets were lined with those trying to take advantage of the craze for entertainment.  As the momentum grew, people began to demand more and more to satisfy their need for amusement.  Competitions were held pitting entertainers against each other to see who could please the audiences more, which drove many to perform random acts of danger and stupidity.

The Fall of Un-regulated Entertainment:

Historians agree the single most notable ‘Event’ that stood at the peak of what’s now called “The Dark Ages of Entertainment” and forced Galactic Authorities into action was the production of the movie “Morphosis!”  This 36 hour Rock Musical Mega-Series chronicled the life of a renegade caterpillar that chooses to fight against evolution, with a guitar.  To date, 24 suicides have been directly attributed to one the movie’s musical scores, “Fear the Chrysalis.”

Government Officials from every world knew that something dramatic had to be done to repair the damage done by poor taste and lack of regulation.  It was decided that a single organization was needed to govern the production and distribution of entertainment on any level.  After much debate, an agreement was reached authorizing a planetary system where all the galaxies entertainment could be produced.

Chapter Ahead to the Present:

The Entertainment System serves as the galactic source for high-quality regulated leisure.  Three artificial planetoids were designed to specifically meet the needs of each of the major forms of entertainment.  Located here are the planets Movies, Music, and Games; providing all your entertainment needs!
