WACKY WORDS

Thursday January 12
by Squeeky

Tonight's Wacky Words was actually kind of fun even though we had only four people playing. The theme of the night was Las Vegas hotels such as the Paris, Mirage and the 4 Queens. All the players surprised me when they all came up with phrases from words like tropicana. Some of their phrases were:

Lynnea, "try running on polymers in coils, and nitros also." and
Aussieryan, "today Robius offloaded piles of credits around nine AM"

One of the better phrases of the night was when Excalibur was used and Catspaws came up with this one: "Each xray changes a laser's intensity--buy used radioactives!"

For the final word I decided to throw them a bit of a curve ball when I stuck a number in the word. They had to use the number but they could use it anywhere in the sentence. Catspaws came up with the very impressive phrase, "Quarks, univators, electros, explosives, 4 nitros -- SURPRISE!!!"

I totalled up the final scores and Aussieryan and Catspaws tied for first place with 12 points apiece. Lynnea came in second with 8 points and Fancy in third with 5 points.

Congratulations to all the winners. Join us again in two weeks for another Wacky Words, and next week for Fed Word Scramble. That's 10.00pm eastern on Thursdays.
