If you're ready to become a Founder in Fed, but don't have the time or inclination to design a planet of your own, you can use one of the six stock planets. You can download the files for the stock planets from the Workbench web page.

You can then use the stock planet of your choice as the basis for your own design and expand the maps, or if you don't even want to do that, you can just leave the maps more or less as they are. However, there are some things that you have to change even if you're not interested in planet design: you need to change the map titles, and the landing pad and orbit location information, so they use the planet and system name you want to use, rather than the generic stock planet names. That information is found in the information panel on the right of the map window. You also need to change the filename of the planet map and message file to match your planet name.

The stock planet web page includes step by step instructions of what you need to change before you can submit your planet.
