FED PHRASE GAME

Tuesday November 28
by Fancy-Fancy, Engineer of Toontown

Five players joined me in Studio 1 for tonight's Fed Phrase Game. Azazel, Dreameeyed, and Sabrina came to the studio for the start of the game, and Ariadne and Genike joined us just in time for the third round, while Choid watched the camera's relay on the channel. I explained the rules for our players, and when they had no remaining questions on how to play, it was time to determine the order in which they would take turns. Sabrina got the first slot, followed by Dreameeyed, and then Azazel.

Tonight's first puzzle was a 5 word phrase (4, 4, 6, 7, and 5 letters). Sabrina started the puzzle with three T's, only to miss on her next spin with an R. Dreameeyed took over the puzzle and went the rest of the way with it, eventually solving the puzzle - They keep things ticking along - for 6400 points.

Azazel started our second puzzle, which was a 5 word place (3, 8, 2, 8, and 7 letters). He started off by uncovering the T, H's, S, E's, R's, L's, and I's for 1700 points before a Lose a Turn stopped his run. Sabrina got a chance at the puzzle and found 3 N's for 700 each. She found the A's, G, O's, F, and D's before hitting a Bankrupt and turning the puzzle over to Dreameeyed. Dreameeyed spun once and placed the M for 700 points, then solved - the dwelling of Harrison Edmundo - to make those 700 points permanent.

Ariadne joined us in the studio to join the game, and then Genike followed, and I put them in the queue following Azazel, who started tonight's third puzzle, a 5 word phrase (4, 7, 2, 8, and 11 letters). He spun and found two S's and four R's for 1900 points, then bought the I's. But on his next spin he landed on Lose a Turn, and Ariadne got a shot at the puzzle. She found three N's and three T's before hitting a Lose a Turn of her own. Genike got a turn, but found no G's. Sabrina got the puzzle and added the remaining consonants, P, D, L, and Y, then solved - Your routine is suddenly interrupted - to win Round 3 for 3200 points.

Our fourth puzzle was a 6 word thing (1, 7, 7, 2, 3, and 4 letters). Dreameeyed got to start the puzzle and racked up 3750 points with S, N, A, H, E, and R, before buying an I not in the puzzle, and turning it over to Azazel. Azazel found a pair of T's for 1500, but then missed with a B, and Ariadne took over. She found two F's for 1000 points before hitting a Bankrupt. Genike added the remaining consonants, D, K, and M, leaving only vowels, but solved incorrectly, giving the puzzle to Sabrina. Sabrina solved it correctly for a house minimum 250 points with "a stuffed marsrat on her desk" (Genike had said "in").

Our fifth and final puzzle was a 6 word phrase (5, 6, 3, 4, 7, and 5 letters), with Dreameeyed again getting to start the puzzle. She found an N to start, but then landed on Bankrupt. Azazel took over and started with three S's for 600 points, then hit 1000 on three consecutive spins, finding 3 T's, an H, and 4 R's, with a buy of the 7 E's in the puzzle in there. He bought the I next, picked up 700 more with an L, and bought the A's, giving him 8550 points. He spun again, but landed on Lose a Turn, and Ariadne took over. Ariadne filled in the C, D, V (for a Free Spin), and M, leaving only vowels, and solved - races around the tree several times - to win Round 5 for 900 points.

That concluded tonight's game, and I added up the final scores. Third place went to Ariadne with 900 points. Sabrina took second with 3450 points. And tonight's big winner was Dreameeyed, with 7100 points. Congratulations to all!
