WHILE WE WERE AWAY

by Hazed

It's always the way. When the Fed2 Star is being published, Bella slacks off and doesn't do much for us to report on, but as soon as we knock off for the holidays she springs into action and starts banging out new code like it's going out of fashion.

Here's a rundown of the things that happened while we were away, which Dot reported on in the special bulletins.

A whole bunch of infrastructure builds were added: Pensions, Railways, Housing Estates, Riot Police, School of Mining and Insulation. You can see all the details in the Idiot's Guide.

A forthcoming change to the way schools are applied was announced. Right now, you need to have two schools, or you won't be able to promote to Engineer, but shortly that will change so that it will be possible to promote without the schools; however, a resource planet without those two schools will suffer an efficiency loss of 5% for each missing school. Expect this change soon.

The disaffection code was tidied up, so that planets should now be showing the correct figures, taking into account all their builds. Bella also rewrote the efficiency code to make it more... well... efficient!

Clive's Collectibles on Castillo started to sell his new trading card, showing the Emperor Frizz. It'll only be available until the end of the month, so don't miss your chance to get this limited edition item.

A new version of FedTerm was published, which fixes a minor bug. You can download it from the FedTerm upgrade page.
