FEDPARDY!

Tuesday March 27
by Fancy-Fancy, Engineer of Toontown

Three players joined me in Studio 1 for tonight's game of FEDPARDY! Sephorin, Ariadne, and Arlene all came to play tonight, all returning players. As they already knew how to play, I went right to the categories, which were: The A Team, Smooth as Silk, Wall Treatments, and The Arts in Sol. The players spun the wheel for the chance to pick first, and Ariadne got it.

The first pick was The A Team for 1, and Arlene rang in to get it. Arlene selected The Arts category, and Ariadne got the 2 point answer, and selected The A Team again, which Arlene got and went back to The Arts. Eventually Arlene found the first Daily Double there. With a wager of zero, he got it correct. When the Arts category was finished, he started on Wall Treatments. Ariadne got the 1 point answer, then selected the 5 and 4 point answers. The 5 got passed on, but Ariadne found the other Daily Double under the 4. Like Arlene, Ariadne wagered zero on her Daily Double, but missed with her response. That took us to the break, with Arlene and Ariadne tied at 3, and Sephorin yet to ring in.

Sephorin got to pick first in Double Fedpardy as the one trailing. She picked The A Team for 6, and Ariadne won the race to ring in first and respond correctly. Sephorin got in first for the 8 pointer, and got it right, and Ariadne collected the 10 pointer. Ariadne then began the Smooth as Silk category. Sephorin got the 2, the 4, 6, and 10 were passed, and Ariadne got the 8. That left Wall Treatments. Nobody tried the 4 pointer, but Ariadne and Arlene both missed on the 6 pointer. At the end of Double Fedpardy, the scores were:

Ariadne 21
Sephorin 10
Arlene -3

Ariadne and Sephorin advanced to Final Fedpardy. I thanked Arlene for playing, but he would not be joining the gals in Final Fedpardy. To help our Finalists decide how many points they wanted to risk, they got the category of Colorful Colonies. Ariadne and Sephorin made their wagers, and when both verified they were ready, I gave them 60 seconds and tonight's Final Fedpardt answer:

One finds that, if he tries to use Lattice disks of this color, that their use is restricted to the leader and retinue.

Sephorin responded with, "What is purple?", but that was incorrect. Ariadne bit her nails, mentioning that she almost put that down for her own response. It cost Sephorin all ten of her points, leaving her with zero.

We then took a look at what Ariadne did put down for her response - "What is silver..." That wasn't correct, either. It is the gold disks reserved for the Protector and her retinue. Ariadne risked 1 point, leaving her with 20. That was plenty to make her this week's Fedpardy champion.

Congratulations to Ariadne, and thanks to Sephorin and Arlene for also playing in tonight's game. Join me again in Studio 1 on April 10 beginning at 10.00pm eastern for our next exciting edition of FEDPARDY! And don't forget the Fed Phrase Game on April 3, starting at 10.00pm eastern.
