REAL LIFE NEWS: VANDALIZED ELEVATOR TAKES ITS REVENGE

by Hazed

A Norwegian elevator recently took revenge against two youths who vandalized it, by trapping them until police could arrive and arrest them.

To be honest, the young vandals obviously weren't thinking very hard. They started to smash up the elevator on the train station but overlooked one small, but crucial, detail: they were inside it. The result of their madness and mayhem was that the elevator doors jammed shut, holding them imprisoned for the officers of the law to deal with. Poetic justice, surely!

The two young men went into the elevator on April 21, waited for the doors to close, and then started to kick them. They kicked so hard that the doors jammed. The elevator stopped and sent an alarm to security guards. The guards tried to lower the elevator, which only served to jam the doors even further, so they called the police and the fire department. Firefighters freed the two vandals and handed them over to the police who were waiting outside. They now face criminal charges, as well as a claim from the railroad for the cost of repairs which could exceed 100,000 kroner (US$16,700). There's no chance of them trying to convince a court they didn't do it, either - the whole thing was recorded by a security camera!
