REAL LIFE NEWS: MOBILES FLUSHED AWAY

by Hazed

342 million pounds sterling. That's the value of the mobile phones that get dropped down the toilet every year in the UK, according to a price comparison service called SimplySwitch.com.

They say that 18 million phones are bought in the UK each year, but there are 4.5 million casualties, with 855,000 ending up down the loo and 810,000 left in the pub. Apparently, older people are less likely to lose or damage mobile phones than younger people, and men are slightly more careless than women.

What these figures don't take into account is the number of people who lie, claiming that they have lost or damaged their phone just so they can get a free upgrade to the latest bleeding edge technology gadget!
