THE KBLACKDRAGON HONEYMOON POOL

by Zardoz

It was a dark and stormy night.... Ok, no it wasn't, but I've always wanted to use that intro. On Monday night a group of players were discussing Kblackdragon's amazing post wedding visit to Fed space. Rather than addressing our own addictive personalities, or doing something productive, like hauling, we began to speculate how long our beloved Kb could last without Fed, and whether he would make an excuse, and pay a visit, while on his honeymoon. Naturally, at the word speculate, odds were calculated, predictions were made, and a pool was born. The hopeless romantic Lynnea generously agreed to donate a slithy to the winner of the pool, and I was nominated to be the record keeper.

Some of you dear readers are probably thinking that we are cruel to put bets on the status of a honeymoon, and the level of commitment a new husband has for his bride. But this was more than just a betting pool. It was a revalidation of the bonds of marriage, a testament to family values, and an excuse to have a lot of laughs at Kb's expense. The predictions ranged from "in the next 20 minutes" to "he won't sign on, but will instead enjoy his honeymoon". The later prediction of course, was submitted by a never-been-married player. Predictions were accompanied by a predicted excuse that Kb would use to explain the need to use his computer while on his honeymoon. The accuracy of the predicted excuse would be used to settle a tie.

After the predictions were recorded, and Garioso was informed that he could not retroactively place a bet for immediately following the wedding, everyone settled down to await the outcome. As of the time of this writing, we have not seen hide nor hair... nor scale even, of the great Dragon. And with each passing day, we grow more and more inspired by the love and dedication that this great man is showing towards his bride. We are warmed by knowledge that two souls have been united, and he is making a great sacrifice for her happiness. Love, it seems, does exist, and Kb has found it.

Unless he has an alt.

Stay tuned for next week's Star for the winner of the Poll. Until then, sincere congratulations are extended to Kb and his bride. Bets will soon be accepted for when Kb's bride will join us in Fed space.
