FEDDERGORIES

Thursday July 19
by Cloudbase

Well after finding myself with no internet connection last week, it was great to be back online and once more hosting Feddergories. I noted with some interest the debate on whether there would be any sighting of KBlackdragon this week (none that I am aware of, though I hear Elvis has been spotted twice!), so of course, this week's theme had to be wedding related.

Six eager contestants stepped into the spotlight: Trilleth, Winks, Butters, Garioso, Myda and Stiddleficks, with Sean and Zand joining the channel as spectators.

Our contestants were put in the place of experiencing their own wedding and were asked to choose the month: Butters - June, Stiddleficks - April and Trilleth - January, thus ensuring no clashes, invites for all and a point for each submission. Next we sent the wedding list out on a bonus round, this is what we got back: Winks only wanted tquarks (who does'nt?), Trilleth, a toaster, a teak table, a TV, and a towel set, whilst Butters sought a blender, some silverware, china, drapes, towels, robes, monogrammed clothing, furniture, car, honeymoons, jewelry, money, cash, checks, an impressive list sure to earn many points, if only he had noticed they needed to start with the letter T! Myda: tickets, tapestry, table cloth, table runners, taper candlesticks, tahitian coconut glasses, tipis , toys. Stiddleficks opted for tent, and Garioso, thanks, table, teeth, thongs, threads, teapot, tear gas. Personally, with tear gas on the wish list, I might just give Garioso's wedding a miss (call me old fashioned if you must!).

The next round was a Feddergory as we picked the guest list, in particular Fed players whose name started with an 'S'. Stiddleficks and Winks both matched on the former's name, everyone else scored. Full points in Round 4 as we sought the bride's dress color and again in Round 5 as we discovered the best ban's amusing animal story!

So at the halfway point the scores were as follows: Winks and Butters on 3 points apiece, Stiddleficks on 4, Trilleth 8, Garioso 9 and the Leader Myda who had 12 points.

So boldly we strode into the second half of the game, Winks, Myda, Butters, Trilleth and Trixie all scoring on ex's names who they met at the wedding, and Round 7 saw them deciding on the European honeymoon destination. Butters chose the lovely Mikinos, whilst Winks went for Mynamar (which is actually in Asia), Myda chose Monaco, Trilleth, Moscow and Stiddleficksalso opted for the Asian Mongolia. Now the adjudicators were called into play at this point as I ruled that Moscow was in Russia and Russia is in Asia (or so I thought!!) But it turns out after an objection and some Googling, it would appear that Russia is in fact classified as a European Country!

In Fed you can Marry using the Marry command and if all goes badly, Divorce too, so for our second Feddergory we sought other commands that commenced with the letter 'D'. Myda - di ceo, Winks - down, Garioso - di exchange leisure and Butters - drop. Round 9 saw the selection for the stone in the wedding ring, 4 players scoring here and the final round, a bonus round, saw the list of airlines that were able to fly our newlyweds to their honeymoon destination. After removing matches the scores for the round were Garioso and Trilleth both gaining 4 points, Myda 8 and Butters an impressive 9 points!

So after totting the scores the top three were Garioso on 15 points, Butters with 18 points and our winner by some margin Myda, who had amassed an impressive 26 points and thus walked away with this week's slithy tove as her prize.

Join me next week, Thursday at 10.00pm eastern on the Feddergories Channel to win one for yourself!
