FEDPARDY!

Tuesday November 6
by Fancy-Fancy, Mogul of Toontown

Three players joined me for tonight's edition of FEDPARDY! Stiddleficks was ready and waiting for me, and Joe and Jdcollins arrived afterwards, ready to play. I gave a refresher on the rules for those who requested it, and after Stiddleficks returned from an apparent restart, I told everyone tonight's categories - Y Not, Sumatra, Business & Industry, and Yer Out! The players spun the studio wheel for the chance of making the first selection, and Jdcollins won that honor.

Jdcollins selected Yer Out for 1 to start the game. Nobody tried to respond to it, though. Nor to the 2 pointer in the category. JD decided to switch to Y Not for 1, and finally we got contestants ringing in and getting points. Stiddleficks got the 1 point answer, Joe the 2, and Stiddleficks the 3. They passed on attempting the 4 and 5 point answers, and Stiddleficks selected Sumatra next. Jdcollins got on the board with the 1 and 2 point answers, and then found a Daily Double with the final selection of the first half. JD decided to risk just 1 point, and this was his answer:

This cozy pub is more likely named after the Managing Director of the mining company than for the famous Battle of Little Bighorn. It always has at least a few people relaxing there, no matter the hour.

Jdcollins couldn't come up with a response, however, so it cost him 1. At the break, Stiddleficks led with 4, to 2 apiece for Joe and Jdcollins. I gave Joe the first selection of Double Fedpardy, doubled the point value of all remaining answers, and Joe selected Sumatra for 8 to start Double Fedpardy. Stiddleficks rang in to get it correct to expand her lead. She then selected the 10 pointer to finish Sumatra, and Jdcollins tried it, but missed. Yer Out! for 8 was next, but no one tried it. Jdcollins rang in to get the 6 pointer after that, though, and that's when Stiddleficks left. JD started the Business & Industry category for 2, and wasn't quick enough in ringing in to respond, which was just as well since he would have responded incorrectly. Joe did ring in in time to respond to the 4 pointer, and responded incorrectly to drop into the red with JD at -2. No one tried the 6 point answer, and JD selected Yer Out! for 10, which had the other Daily Double. He decided to make it worth 1 point, and this was the answer:

Go out from this Magellan company's reception area, with three identical receptionists, and you'll go out into their lobby.

JD didn't have a clue on this one, either, so he lost 1 point, and selected Business & Industry for 8 next. Nobody tried ringing in on that answer, nor the 10 pointer, so the scores at the end of Double Fedpardy were:

Stiddleficks: 12
Joe: -2
Jdcollins: -3

Stiddleficks was the lone qualifier for Final Fedpardy, but wasn't present to participate, so she finished with 12 points, which was enough to make her this week's Fedpardy champion. Thanks to Joe and Jdcollins for coming out to play and challenge her. Join us again on November 20 at 10.00pm eastern, for our next edition of FEDPARDY! Also join us in Studio 1 next Tuesday, the 13th, for the Fed Phrase Game.
