GEEK TOY OF THE WEEK - NAY, THE CENTURY - THE MOTORIZED SHOE

Ever since the middle of the last century, we've been promised that the future would be bright and shiny, and above all, we'd all have flying cars. So where's my flying car?

Crushed with the continuing disappointment at its non-appearance, I have to admit this new mode of transport almost consoles me. It's a motorized shoe. I don't really have to say much more because I am sure you are already imagining the fun you could have with such a thing.

You strap the shoes on, and using a handheld control power them up. They run on batteries which give you about a 2-3 mile range before needing to be recharged. Their carrying capacity is 250 lbs. They are on sale now, and can be yours for $500.
