WACKY WORDS - Sunday Edition

Sunday, January 6
by Catspaws

As I mentioned earlier, the kitty was away for most of December. It seems the doctors from the vet clinic decided I need to go stay there for a while. (Did I mention I hate vets?) It was a long month, and I missed you all. Well, all except Djentsch, who I am convinced is the one who sent the vets after me. But I finally escap... er, was discharged... and I am back. So, too, is the Sunday edition of Wacky Words, which is played every other Sunday. Four players joined me this week, and Gwaptiva came along to watch.

One thing I try to do with Wacky Words is pick a theme that is hard for the players to guess. This week I was extremely successful, and I think a few of the players were going wacky trying to guess the theme.

We started out the game with the word FOOD, from which Cloudbase shared us the following tidbit of gossip: "Funster only ogles djentsch" I'm sure I can't understand why. I'm much cuter...

With the word TAGS, Cloudbase gave us more gossip: "Trilleth Always Goads Sephorin". Hmmm, I wonder if we need to investigate this further? Why does she goad her? Are they fighting over a man or something?

The word CHAIRS had my theme guessers homing in on restaurants and dinner parties, and had Cloudbase homing in on me: "catspaws hits a irritating riled squeeky". Prove it!

TABLES, SCALE and DOCTORS had the players pondering hospitals and doctors' offices, which simply wasn't close enough. COLLARS finally gave Angelfowl the correct theme, "Things Found in a Vet Clinic." Phew! That was a tough theme. Now, how do I top it next time.

When the scores were tallied, Cloudbase came in first, with Angelfowl and Sephorin tying for second. It was a great game, and I was pleased to be able to host it for some of the best and wackiest players in Fed. Until next time...
