REAL LIFE NEWS: FAMOUS FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS

by Hazed

Sometimes people seem to forget that publishing a video on YouTube so all your friends can admire you doing something reckless or even illegal means that anyone can see it - including officers of the law. Forgetting that fact has taken Rudy Villanueva to jail, and put him up for the dumb crim of the year award.

The gentleman in question is a gang leader in Miami-Dade, and he showed up in a vid on YouTube this week holding guns and taunting police to "come get some". Ever-obliging, the police did just that, and Rudy is now being held in federal lockup awaiting arraignment. "He threatened law enforcement, he said come get him, and we granted his wish," said the Southern Florida US Attorney.

The clip was filmed by Rudy's girlfriend in the apartment of another man, Tony Logan. The two of them point rifles and handguns at the camera in a message apparently directed to the Miami-Dade Police Street Gang Unit. The vid prompted the agents to raid Tony's home, where they found a weapons cache and more than 800 rounds of ammo. The guns included the ones brandished in the video. They have both been charged with firearm offences.

When asked why he made the video, Villanueva told investigators it was to "Instill fear in people who will 'roll up on me'". More likely, they are now laughing at his stupidity!
