TECHNO-A-GO-GO

The promotion to Technocrat is now in, and in a stop-press, hold-the-front-page moment I can report that today's reset saw 6 players promoting to the new rank. It is possible there should have been more - a bug means that although the planets were advanced to technological rank, the owners remained Moguls until I manually promoted them. So if you are still a Mogul but should not be, please email feedback@ibgames.com.

The promotion requirement for Techno has been set at 125 builds. Once one of your planets has the necessary infrastructure, type 'PROMOTE' and the planet - and you - will advance at the next reset. Using the command before you have enough builds will tell you how many you have, and remind you what your target is.

The builds that you can do at the new Techno rank are:

• Anti-grav Architecture
• Central Research Labs
• Extended Surveillance
• Fibreoptic Cabling
• Fusion Power
• Highways/Airlanes
• Systems Defence Vessels
• Telephones
• Universal Insurance
• Urban Regeneration
• Weather Control
