COSTUME PARTY

We had a costume party on Saturday, held at the Morph Bar on Phobos, the place with the ever-changing decor. Joebot acted as the bouncer and made sure anybody who hadn't dressed up for the occasion was laughed out of the room:
Henry has just arrived.
Joebot begin's to announce Henry's arrival but as he examines Henry's attire, bright flashing lights and loud obnoxious alarms pierce everyone's ears as he begins to laugh hysterically at Henry's nondescript grey coveralls. He presses some buttons on his arm in order to call nightwatch to take care of the situation.
The hosts, Joe and Jewells, chose matching outfits, dressing as that elusive but much sought after creature:
Upon examining Joe, you see the most desired creature in Fed. This could be the first time you've ever seen one outside of the Mini-Zoo! It's cute, it's fuzzy-wuzzy, wait! It's just joe! He is holding hands with Jewells.
Princess Jewells has always been desirable, and dressed as a Slithy, she's dangerously irresistible! This is probably why she and Joe have turned into a mimsy borogove right before your eyes! Joe is holding her hand.
Some people did seem a little reluctant to change into their party clothes:
Your comm unit crackles with a message from Trilleth, "Oh, that's so wrong. *mourns* I've forgotten the code to change clothing."
Your comm unit crackles with a message from Angelfowl, "Ouch..."
Your comm unit crackles with a message from Angelfowl, "You gonna come to the party Trill?"
Your comm unit crackles with a message from Trilleth, "I'm... working on it. I dunno. I've looked like this for a long time. It's starting to grow on me. Or just to grow. I should wash these clothes."
As well as bouncing out the under-dressed, Joebot also took charge of collating the votes for best costume, but at times it got a bit much for the droid:
Joebot begins to smoke as it looks like he is overloaded
Munabilo kicks Joebot
Angelfowl backs slowly away from Joebot and hides behind Trilleth
Joebot shakes a bit, "Thanks Munabilo I needed that"
Munabilo says, "my pleasure"
Munabilo has bought you some Joebot lubricant
Blinx rolls around to everyone and refills their drink
Jezz sniffs the lubricant and wrinkles her nose as she hands it to Joebot
But it didn't blow up, and it did manage to give Joe the details so he could announce the winning costume:
Joe smiles, "okay, i have...err.. Joebot has verified the votes and gave me the results :)"
Jezz asks, "drum roll?"
Angelfowl laughs
Munabilo says, "we're dying of suspense here, spill it ;D"
Blinx says, "zzzzzz"
Joe drawls, "well, the only person who actually received more than one vote...."
Angelfowl exclaims, "Come on Joe!"
Joe exclaims, "Jezz!"
Jezz blinks
Angelfowl exclaims, "Yay!"
Jezz asks, "me?"
Joe applauds
Angelfowl claps
Joe says, "no the other Jezz"
This was the costume that Jezz wore:
Examine Jezz
Mangled metal and broken commodity cases on strings dangle around her. She wears glued torn shares, bleak futures certs, mud, fake cuts, bruises and a hastily applied bandage with -bankrupt- written on it in ketchup.
Jezz says, "I came as a stock market crash"
Meteu presented Jezz with a slithy tove as her prize, and the crowd urged her to make an acceptance speech:
Jezz says, "I'd like to thank everyone who er.. well thanks"
Angelfowl giggles
Jezz grins like an idiot
Angelfowl smiles, "it is a cool outfit :)"
Jezz says, "I had to raid a few ship yards to get the broken bits"
Later, we discovered that there were big disadvantages to her prize-winning costume:
Jezz takes a seat... stands quickly and adjusts a bit of mangled metal before she sits down again
Joe chuckles
Jezz says, "just had to rearrange something"
Joe says, "i can imagine, with all that... stuff hanging off you :p"
Trilleth snickers. "And poking in vulnerable spots."
Jezz says, "er.. yes well... I'm a bit more worried about paper cuts"
Joe says, "heh, that sounds painful to take that costume off"
Jezz says, "paper cuts hurt"
Jezz drawls, "it's a duel purpose costume though..."
Jezz says, "when I peel off all the glue and stuff I shouldn't have to shave my legs for a while"
I'm not sure we want to know!
It was a fun party with some great costumes, so join us next time when we party.
