FUTURES CLASS

Sunday, June 15
by Catspaws

I have been so excited to see the return of old AOL Fedders to the Fed community. And these new/old players have, for the most part, made it to the exciting rank of Trader! So I figured it was great timing that this week's class was on Futures 101. Unfortunately, it was also Father's Day, so we had one trader actually present at the class. He was an eager student, though, and hopefully the class log will help the rest.

Hostess' Disclaimer: The ideas and suggestions presented by the instructors are their own, and are not necessarily accurate, nor represent those of IBGames or their staff.

This said, go on over to the Class Log and see for yourself what was discussed about learning the complexity of futures trading. Sunday, June 22, will be another Planetary Economics class. Be sure not to miss this exciting class.

Note: Back when the trader rank first went in, older traders (it was the highest rank at the time) would hold classes to train new traders. My teacher was DJentsch, who still claims he can't teach futures. He was my first choice to teach this class, actually, but since the player just deployed to Germany and has snail-speed internet, it fell to me to carry on his torch. We did so many classes back then, I finally took all the notes we used in the futures classes and put them up on a website. The site also includes a futures calculator written by another old trader.

The site hasn't been updated since player planets went in, but it is still the most effective tool, other than the Idiot's Guide, for learning futures.
