REAL LIFE NEWS: THE FASTEST OFFICE CHAIR IN THE WORLD

Teenage boys... they can be so inventive. Two German teens have just come to the attention of the police who have confiscated the contraption they were working on: a motorized office chair.

The boys from Gross-Zimmern had added a lawnmower engine, bicycle brakes and a metal frame to a revolving office chair, turning it into a vehicle a bit like a go-kart. The inventors claim they only tested it over a few meters, but witnesses have reported seeing it on several streets.

Police are investigating the miscreants for a variety of possible offences: defying insurance regulations, driving without a licence and violating registration requirements.

What's missing from all this is video footage of the chair in action... surely the boys must have used their mobile phones to film the chair-mobile! The news reports don't even say what top speed the chair could reach. Bad journalists, missing out on the parts of the story we really, really want to know about.
