PLANET HOPPING REVIEW
Navarium in the Arov System
by Trilleth
Joe nudged me awake this morning with the latest financial news and a cup of coffee. I declined the coffee, but scanned the financial news, expecting to find the opening of a new shopping mall. Disappointed, I handed it back to him. "Nothing good today." Patiently he circled something and made me read it. Oh, a new planet for me to explore. Sheesh. Marry a man and he starts thinking for you. Hmm... actually, that's probably a good thing.
So where was I? Oh, right. Heading to Navarium in the Arov System. I got distracted briefly by a blue light sale at a neighboring system, but I quickly got myself back on track (I ran out of groats) and landed on Navarium's flight deck. Flight deck? Oh! I was on a ship in the middle of the ocean. I was in love already and I hadn't even seen anything yet.
It took me a little while (and quite a few bruises) before I got the hang of port, starboard, aft and forward, but once I did, I realised quite a bit of this boat - er, ship - was off-limits to mere mortals, even if they are me, and that the planet itself had absolutely no land anywhere. The love faded further when I failed to find anywhere to go shopping, even if I didn't have any groats left to spend. Finally, mildly frustrated, I stalked off the ship, garnering a few more bruises in the process.
RATINGS:
Bed: 8 I slept in Jazir's bed. I hope he doesn't mind, but it made me sleepy to climb all those ladders and run into so many bulky-heads.
Food: 9 The food wasn't half-bad, especially for a ship. I'd eat there again.
People: 8 I didn't see a lot of people, but those I saw were at least fairly nice, if not always outgoing.
Shopping: 0 C'mon, even a ship needs a gift shop!
Water features: 10 It's a planet with nothing BUT water. What'd you expect?
OOC: Well-written (although Jazir assures me unfinished and waiting for events) with the promise of more to come. Stop by for a peek. :)
