CHRISTMAS IS COMING...

The festive season is fast approaching, and we've started to make our plans for Christmas in Fed DataSpace. Santa will be opening his grotto again, complete with a sleigh ride, the tub of toys (which this year for the first time will be persistent objects so you will get to keep the goodies you are given forever and ever) and of course Santa himself with the lap you can sit in while you explain about being naughty or nice.

The Mars hopper that transports customers from the port to CDs and back will be replaced by something wintry, and CDs will of course be offering free food and drink to customers. Plus, the craftsman will take up his customary place in the corner of the bar to sell a special Christmas charm.

There will be an enormous Christmas tree erected in the Earth spaceport which will have decorations on it designed by you, the players - with a prize being given to the creator of the best decoration. Start thinking about what you want to add to the tree now.

Decorations will be going up in various places around the Solar System.

And of course, there'll be fruitcake. Lots and lots of fruitcake. Joy!
