PLANET-HOPPING RANDOM REVIEW

by Trilleth

I've been travelling a lot this week, between looking for new planets (a bust), playing games (less of a bust), and just being a social butterfly. But when I went to write up my article tonight, I discovered that all my notes were mixed up. So you're getting a review of an even dozen random planets. I'll even tell you which ones. I just can't tell you which ones each part of the review is about.

PLANETS:

  • Ainokea, Deos system
  • Asilomar, Arcadia system
  • Bandan, Coranth system
  • Dross, Rubble system
  • Helix, Pacifica system
  • Gforce, Gephoria system
  • Mousetrap, Cheese system
  • Pantheon, Kaos system
  • Pentagon, Washington system
  • Scotia, Dreich system
  • Toontown, Animation system
  • Wasteland, Forgotten system

1) There's a cute but severe desk receptionist. Needs to work on her people skills. I love the hot tub, even if it did take a bit of wandering to find it. WATER FEATURE: 9. PEOPLE: 2

2) Lots of things are covered up or shut down and it's nearly devoid of people. Might be water in the chasm. No shopping at all. SHOPPING: 0. BED: 7 (plenty of options, usually covered up, though)

3) Surfing, travel agents, pretty flowers... it's almost like home. WATER FEATURE: 10. BED: 3.

4) I kept ending up in odd places without warning and all the sand got in my shoes. There might've been someone here once, but I didn't see anyone now. WATER FEATURE: -1 (sand! sand! sand!). SHOPPING: 1 (I had to buy new shoes when I left)

5) Not sure about the elevator music or all the off-limits places. I'm a licensed travel writer, after all! I should get free reign. Ooh, look. I'm immortalized. I forgive everything. PEOPLE: 7 (see last note).

6) Does pigeon food count as shopping? Nice fountain, though. My poor shoes... SHOPPING: 5. WATER FEATURE: 8 (new shoes)

7) The one-way directions got me lost more often than not, but there was something almost primal about this place. PEOPLE: 7. BED: 1 (I fell asleep on a slideway briefly)

8) The residents are certainly very colorful and seem somehow familiar. Oooh, a gift shop! SHOPPING: 9. PEOPLE: 7

9) Residents here scurry around an awful lot. May be a little lacking in the brains department? WATER: 0 (I think they'd all drown). PEOPLE: 4 (on a technicality)

10) Got a bit distracted by the mud wrestling. Need a shower. Think the people I ran into were more interested in drinking and... well, betting... than talking. SHOPPING: 5 (had to buy new clothes). PEOPLE: 5

11) Drizzly, bare, drab... did he just point a weapon at me? I'm not staying here, even if there is a bed. BED: 7 (it's there, but I'm not using it). WATER FEATURE: 4 (does rain even count?)

12) Is there really this much junk in the whole universe, let alone one planet? The costumes are a bit much. Hmph. I got lost, too. But if in doubt, just say whatever comes to mind first! SHOPPING: 3. PEOPLE: 7

Want to find out to which planets my notes refer? Send me your guesses to Trilleth@gmail.com. Hint: Best way to figure it out? Go visit these twelve older planets, most of which have been in the game as long as I've been here. :)

Happy sleuthing!
