REAL LIFE NEWS: BULLET-PROOF BRAby HazedA brassiere offers all kinds of protection, as one Brazilian woman found out recently. Pereira de Oliveira was a passenger recently on a bus that two gunmen held up. Also on the bus was an armed off-duty policeman, who opened fire on the criminals. In the resulting gunfight a bullet struck the left side of Oliveira's chest. Luckily, she had stuffed a wad of cash into her bra, and this slowed the bullet down enough that it didn't get as far as her heart. Without the money getting in the way, she would have died instantly. She underwent surgery to remove the bullet and was released from the hospital a few days later. Sadly, the off-duty police officer was killed. |
