THE RETURN OF THE FED2 STAR

The Fed2 Star returns after its long break - longer than usual! We were supposed to publish again last week, but due to circumstances beyond my control I wasn't able to return to the Fed2 Star office, and I couldn't get a message to BettyBot to tell her to keep on holding the fort; she had packed up and gone for her delayed break assuming I would be back.

Meanwhile, the rest of the newsdroids, who should have returned to work anyway, all said they were waiting for me to summon them back to the office, and that they had mysteriously lost track of time while enjoying themselves in their various vacation spots. I am not impressed by their lack of independence. I know, I demand slavish obedience from my newsdroids, but still I would have thought at least one of them would display a bit of initiative. Very disappointing.

It was left to Bella to throw together an impromptu bulletin to explain the changes she was making to Fed DataSpace, and while her writing is perfectly adequate, in that it contains all the facts, it doesn't have the style one expects from the Fed2 Star. No flair, no elan, no panache.

So apologies for the absence, and enjoy this issue.
