CARTEL ANNOUNCEMENTS POLICY

by Hazed

There's a lot of excitement about the new cartel code that went into the game recently, and POs being able to post jobs on the workboard has brought back an element of player interaction that has been missing from the game for some time. Now, planet-owners need lower-ranking players to haul for them, and that means they want to ask them to come work in their particular cartel.

Some POs and Plutocrats have started making announcements on the comms, asking for haulers. Nothing wrong with that, so long as its done in moderation, but if it happens too often it does start to get annoying - and imagine if each one of the 18 player cartels had announcements going all the time; the comms would soon get completely clogged up!

To stop that happening, please limit announcements to no more than once an hour per cartel.

Also, it's not much use asking for haulers to come work in your cartel, when there are no haulers logged into the game! So before you send an announcement to the comms please just check whether there's anybody around who would want to hear it - and if not, don't make it.

Incidentally, if you wish there were more lower ranking players in the game to do your hauling, then tell other people about Fed2 and get them to come and play. If you're in touch with any old players that haven't been around for a while, coax them back. And if you find any blogs or chat sites where you can make a comment about how great the game is, please do.
