SUMMER SILLY SEASON STARTS

Taking a week off from publishing the Star didn't make it any easier to find news to report to you this week. The summer silly season is well under way - not only are things quiet in Fed DataSpace, but also in real life, making the Real Life News hard to write as well.

Still, my dedicated team of newsdroids has done its best to bring you some interesting and entertaining stories, and will continue to do so for the next few weeks, until we take a couple of weeks off at the end of August/beginning of September due to my real life work commitments. More on that next week.

Meanwhile, enjoy this issue which rather brings to mind the expression "making a silk purse out of a sow's ear."
