BLISH CITIES ARE GO... KIND OF!

As expected, the code to let cartel owners start to build Blish cities went into the game on Wednesday. However, a problem was revealed which hadn't shown up in the testing which meant that the partially-built cities were not being loaded into the game properly after reset. The details of how to build a Blish city, and what benefit it bring you you, are in last week's Star.

Alan has now fixed this problem, but to make sure no after-effects of the bug linger, he has removed any Blish cities that had been started. So you will have to start your builds over again. You can claim compensation for the groats you paid out by emailing feedback@ibgames.net (don't forget to put Fed2 in the subject line) and giving your Fed2 character name. We'll put the money into your personal bank balance so you can transfer it over to the cartel.

So now you can, really and truly, start to build your Blish city, and expand it to a larger size. You can't fit it out or launch it yet - that code will come later.

While you are doing your builds, keep an eye on the noticeboard because if we should spot any further problems, we'll post a message to keep you informed.


Footnote: every time I write about building a Blish city I find the Starship song "We Built This City on Rock n Roll" going through my head. It's a great song!
