HOW TO AVOID THE SPAM BUCKET

by Hazed

A trawl through my incoming mail reveals numerous adverts for pharmaceuticals, fake watches, body-part extenders, and mail-order degrees. Then there's the offers of dubious friendship, free money (if I pay a small fee up front) and loads of attempts to get me to log onto a fake website and type in my security details.

In other words, lots of spam. Spam, spam, spam, spam, eggs and spam. Without the eggs.

I have pretty good spam filters (part of the ZoneAlarm security suite) but they aren't foolproof. Sometimes they let through stuff that is spam, and sometimes they throw away stuff that isn't spam. So to help them, I've set up some extra filters to pull out the stuff I really do want to read and put it into a separate folder.

One of the filters looks for Fed2 in the subject line. So if you want me to read your email, that's what you need to do: put Fed2 in the subject line. This applies to mail you send to me directly, or to feedback@ibgames.com.

Fail to do that, and your mail will quite likely end up in the spam bucket along with all the dross.
