TIME OUT OF JOINT

I am not sure if my headline quotes Hamlet or Philip K Dick but my intention is to warn you of the impending end of summer.
In the UK and Europe, the clocks go back one hour next weekend. What little summer we have had is considered to be well and truly over. The good news is that I will get an extra hour's sleep; the bad news is that the US clocks don't change until the following week on November 7 so for one week the reset (which happens using the local server time, GMT) will appear to happen an hour later for Americans. Given that it's actually happening almost an hour late anyway because of the server clock being wrong, I don't suppose it will cause much more confusion than there is already...
