REAL LIFE NEWS: DUMB CRIMINAL CAUGHT THANKS TO DISCARDED BACKPACK

by Hazed

Police who were called to the scene of a burglary in West London recently solved the crime in just a few seconds. How? By looking in the backpack the thief had left behind - which contained his passport!

Kenneth Morgan, 48 years old, has now been dubbed Britain's Thickest Burglar. He was forced to escape through the kitchen window of the property he was attempting to rob when the owner unexpectedly returned home. In his abrupt departure, he left behind his backpack.

Not only did it contain the vital clue as to his identity - the passport - but it also had his mobile phone, prison ID card bearing his photo, his birth certificate and a tenancy agreement with his signature.

This left police in absolutely no doubt as to who they were looking for.

Following his arrest, Morgan attempted to claim that the backpack had been stolen by another criminal and planted it at the scene of the crime, but the jury at his trial didn't buy his story. They found him guilty, and he's been jailed for six years.

It then transpired that he'd been out of jail for just three weeks, having previously been convicted for 23 burglaries going back 25 years.

Time for a change of career, perhaps!
