I gather there was some kind of wedding this weekend...

That, plus the fact that in the UK the public holidays have meant there were just three working days last week, means not a lot happened. Many people simply took the three days off work to make an extended break. Those that did go into work probably didn't do very much.

I was therefore left scrabbling around to try and find real life news stories to go into this edition of the Star. I came up a few stories short, so rather than include something substandard, I just decided to leave this news a bit shorter than usual.

I hope we'll have a full complement of stories for you next week.
