REAL LIFE NEWS: OSAMA KILLED BY KLINGONS?

by Hazed

In the wake of the killing of Osama bin Laden last month, the news agencies were falling over themselves to provide details of exactly who had carried out the successful mission. It quickly became public that it was a team of US Navy SEALs, with the designation Team Six.

Without photos of the body, or faces of the individuals in that team, the graphics departements of newspapers and television studies had to content themselves with generic images, such as the Navy SEAL emblem. But they didn't always get it right.

One German news station accidentally used a logo that looked like it belonged to "Team Six" but was actually from Star Trek! It was a badge created by a fan organisation, based on a rebel group of unhappy Starfleet officers and other beings. Ooops!

Take a look at the fake badge - together with the real Navy SEALs emblem - here: http://www.smh.com.au/technology/sci-tech/klingon-team-six-is-out-of-this-world-20110513-1eloo.html.
