REAL LIFE NEWS: WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN DRIVING A STOLEN CAR

by Hazed

Another dumb criminal story. Possibly one of the dumbest we're read all year. Two men who were driving around Palm Beach in a stolen car got lost. So they stopped to ask for directions.

To ask the cops for directions.

Naturally enough, the police officer checked the license plate of the car and it came back as a stolen vehicle. So he arrested them.

20-year-old Brentyn Mitchell, the driver, has been charged with possession of the stolen vehicle and violation of probation. His passenger, Jaron Hopkins, is charged with providing false information to police, receiving stolen property and violating parole. They are both being held in jail on £25,000 bail.

Next time they'd better steal a car that has a sat-nav.
