REAL LIFE NEWS STORY: HELP, I'M TRAPPED IN THIS SHOPPING CART!

by Hazed

Oh joy, a story about dumbness. Not dumb criminals this time, just dumb teenagers. Two teenage girls in Sweden, to be exact.

They were joy riding in a shopping cart - and they got stuck! So they called the emergency services to rescue them.

The girls were in a remote part of the small tourist town of Ed, in Western Sweden, when they spotted the trolley. Naturally, they decided to climb inside. (The news report does not say if alcohol played a part in this decision. But I think we can guess.) They both got in but managed to became wedged so tightly they couldn't get enough leverage to get out.

They were stuck for about an hour before help arrived. "I assume they found it quite embarrassing," said a spokesman from the Ed emergency services. "They were sitting next to each other down in the cart, one in the front and one in the back. There wasn't much space left." He added, "It was humorous." I bet it was.

Sadly, the news report did not have any pictures showing the girls in their predicament. What an omission.
