REAL LIFE NEWS: ESCAPED TIGER TURNS OUT TO BE STUFFED TOY

by Hazed

Emergency services in Houston, Texas, mobilized in force when they started receiving calls that there was an escaped tiger on a hotel roof. A team of six members from the fire department set off to capture the animal and bring it to safety before it could hurt anyone.

They used a cherry picker to reach the hotel roof and edged it gently towards the ferocious beast, moving slowly so as not to startle the animal, fearing that it would pounce at any moment...

And then they realized that it was a stuffed toy!

All they had to do was knock it to the ground, then pick it up and carry it away.

This is all very amusing but I don't blame the firemen for being cautious. There's a big problem with wild animals which were previously kept in private zoos, either escaping, or - worse - being released by owners that can't afford to keep them any longer. Here's one particularly serious report.

But the question is: who put the stuffed tiger onto the hotel roof - and why? I guess we'll never know.
