REAL LIFE NEWS: STORMS ON SATURN
by Hazed
We all know that Jupiter has massive storms, one of which causes the big red spot that is so large we can see it from Earth. But it’s not the only gas giant to suffer from major turbulence. Saturn has storms, too.
The Cassini spacecraft is perfectly placed to watch those storms, and take photos of them. Take a look at this report about the Chronian Cataclysm for details of a massive storm with a head the size of the planet Earth, and a tail that wrapped right round the planet - and a very spectacular lightning flash. The pictures are amazing!
