Spacesuits in Fed DataSpace are amazing things. The nano-chameleon suit is skintight, provides protection against extremes of heat or cold, the vacuum of space and noxious substances. It generates whatever mix of gases your species needs to keep you alive, lets you see in the dark, and on top of all that, it can be configured to display whatever look you want.
Of course, it’s not perfect: it’s not going to keep you alive if you fall into a pit, walk into a radioactive room or fly your spaceship into a sun!
In real life, spacesuits are not quite that miraculous. But they are still quite amazing. They’ve been evolving ever since they were first designed for the Apollo missions, and the modern version used for the astronauts on the International Space Station is a technological marvel.
