NEW EVENT EDITOR ADDS FOUR NEW SCRIPTS
by Hazed
Last week, when I told you what Alan was working on, I finished the article with the customary warning that these were not fast projects so you wouldn’t see anything soon.
Turns out I was wrong, because he’s produced a new version of the Event Editor for Windows that adds four new scripts which planet owners can use to write events on your planets. The scripts let you check what kind of location a player is in, move an object from one location to another, and move an object in and out of a player’s inventory.
You can download the new editor here. The download contains the Event Editor, the Object Editor, and three DLL files that the program needs in order to run. If you have a previous version of any of these files then you need to overwrite it with the new ones. If you don’t, then the new Event Editor won’t run.
The script reference page has been updated with the details of the new scripts, and there’s a new version of the tutorial that explains how to write events here which covers the new stuff.
Alan will continue working on the editor and will add more scripts soon to let you do fun things with objects.
