REAL LIFE NEWS: SEE, I TOLD YOU CHOCOLATE WAS GOOD FOR YOU!

Not long ago I told you about a fake study that had resulted in newspapers reporting that eating chocolate helped you lose weight. It was nonsense, of course, because it was very selective about what data it used.
But now there are more headlines claiming that chocolate is good for you. Apparently, eating two chocolate bars a day can reduce the risk of heart disease by 25% and stroke by 22%. What’s more, the chocolate doesn’t have to be dark, bitter stuff – milk chocolate is just as good.
Fantastic news! If it turns out to be true, of course…
Which seems quite unlikely. Check out the second source link below for a measured summary of the study’s findings, which are hardly as spectacular as the newspaper headlines.
Oh well. I’ll just have think up another excuse for my daily choccy habit.
