NEW VERSION OF FEDTERM TO DOWNLOAD

by Hazed

Alan has been working his way through the list of known bugs with FedTerm, and we’ve also had some reports from players of things they have found that don’t work exactly as they are supposed to – thanks for those.

He’s fixed enough bugs to make it worth releasing a new version of FedTerm, so you can download the upgrade to the program on the FedTerm test page.

The fixes in this version are:

  • When you set your background colour, the window now defaults to the currently selected colour.
  • When you set your font, the window now defaults to the currently selected font.
  • Display issues with planet info on the star systems tab have been fixed.
  • Display issues with cargo space entry on the stats panel getting truncated have now been fixed.

There are also some enhancements:

  • You can now enlarge the stats panel to make it wider.
  • Changing the font now affects the player list and the stats panel. Be warned: if you set the font too large then the info won’t fit!
  • Click a player’s name in the player list and now you get a SpyNet Report. This puts their picture into the second picture box on the top left. The picture is also displayed if you request the report manually.

You can download the new version of new FedTerm from the FedTerm test page – there’s an upgrade zip that just contains the program file.

If you haven’t yet tried new FedTerm, give it a go! Get the new up-to-date full installation from the same page.

If you find any bugs then email the details to feedback@ibgames.com. Don’t forget to put “Fed2” somewhere in the subject line. Even if you don’t find any bugs you could mail us to tell us how much you like new FedTerm!

A Note About Library Files

If, when you try to run FedTerm, you get an error message telling you that there is a missing file, please let us know. The message will tell you the name of the file that is missing – it will be something like msvcp120.dll – and we need to know that file name, so we can send you the missing file and then include it in future versions of the installation file.
