LONDON IS NOT REELING

As you probably know, there was a horrendous attack in London last week. Three men drove a van into a crowd of people on London Bridge and then went on a stabbing rampage in nearby Borough Market. I’m not going to call them terrorists, because that’s how they wanted to be seen – instead I will call them dickheads.
The reason I am writing about this is because I know many of my readers live in the US, and a lot of the reporting of this attack in the US media has been flat-out wrong. Newspapers and TV shows have reported that “London is reeling” and that the city is under siege… that the people are scared and that there are “no-go areas” in some cities where police are afraid to enter.
Let me assure you that London is not reeling. We are sad, and we are angry, but we are also defiant. We are not going to let the actions of these criminals defeat us.
