DUMB TEACHER OF THE WEEK: SUPERVISED FIGHTS IN CLASS

A teacher from Connecticut has been arrested and charged after he started a fight club in his maths lessons.
23 year old Ryan Fish, a substitute teacher supervised fights in the classroom, which other pupils recorded on their phones. When the video clips showed up on social media, the school became aware of the fights. The IT department collected together all the emails and videos related to the fight and handed them to the police.
Police reported that the fights seemed to take place at 13.50 each day. In one video Fish can be seen positioning himself in front of the classroom door, and in another he is giving directions to the fighting students.
While he claims he didn’t set up the fights he confesses he watched them, and said: “I will admit that I did at one point egg them on.”
He appeared in court last week, charged with two counts of risk of injury to minors, four counts of reckless endangerment, and breach of peace. He has been bailed and will be back in court in May.
If he ends up in jail, he will find himself in a very different kind of fight club.
