REAL LIFE NEWS: THEME PARK DEPLOYS BIRDS AS RUBBISH COLLECTORS
by Hazed
A French theme park is deploying an unusual team to clear up litter: six “intelligent” birds.
The Puy du Fou theme park, in the west of Franch, has taught the rooks to collect cigarette ends and other small bits of rubbish, and deposit them into a small box which will reward them with some food.
The head of the park, Nicolas de Villiers said it wasn’t just about keeping the park clean, but also about showing "that nature itself can teach us to take care of the environment". He said the rooks are "particularly intelligent" and "like to communicate with humans and establish a relationship through play".
