FED PHRASE GAME

Tuesday September 15
by Fancy-Fancy, Technocrat of Toontown

Three players joined me for this week's Fed Phrase Game in Studio 1. Royalsims, Anna, and Angelfowl all showed up to play, with Annabellee and Arijes watching the camera's broadcast on the channel. I went over the rules of the game for our new players, and then watched them spin for playing order. Royalsims gained the first slot, Anna the second slot, and Angelfowl third. With the playing order set, we looked at our first puzzle.

The first puzzle was a 4 word thing (5, 10, 2, and 7 letters), with Royalsims up first to start it. He started off finding a pair of T's, followed by an H and N for a free spin, before choosing an M not in the puzzle. Anna took over and found a G, followed by an S for a free spin, bought the A's, then chose a B not in the puzzle. Anna decided to use her free spin to continue, and bought the E's, then spun and picked a D missing from the puzzle. Angelfowl took over and found an R, three L's, bought the O's, and placed a C before trying a P not in the puzzle. Getting the puzzle back, Royalsims decided to solve it then and there - large quantities of alcohol - to win Round 1 for 900 points.

Round 2 was a 3 word thing (5, 7, and 6 letters), with Anna up first to start it. She started off finding three T's for 200 each, followed by an H, then the A, before her next call of N wasn't in the puzzle. Angelfowl got a turn and tried S, but that wasn't in the puzzle, either. Royalsims took over and found three R's, then bought the three E's, placed the P, and bought the O's and U, making the puzzle read:

"_ro__ Theatre troupe"

That's where our players started getting stumped. Royalsims tried a V, Anna a W, Angelfowl a C, Royalsims a P, Anna a B, Angelfowl a J, and Royalsims an L, all without success. Anna finally tried D, filling in the last two consonants of the puzzle, then solved - Droid Theatre troupe - for 1100 points.

Our third puzzle was also the last puzzle we had time for tonight. It was a 4 word phrase (7, 6, 3, and 9 letters), and Angelfowl was up first to start this one. She tried a T to start, but in all the letters, there wasn't even one. Royalsims got the puzzle and found the S and R's, bought the I, and found a pair of N's before landing on Bankrupt. That is where Royalsims decided to use his free spin, and continued his turn by finding a G, two L's, bought the E's, placed three D's, bought the A, found two F's, and thought he was going to solve, then changed his mind and instead spun and found the H, bought the O's, and then did solve it - feeling cooled and refreshed - to win Round 3 for 2850 points.

That brought us to the end of our allotted time. Our final tally had Anna finishing second with 1100 points, and Royalsims our big winner with 3750 points! Congratulations to our winners, and thanks to all for playing tonight. Join us again September 29 at 10.00pm Eastern for our next edition of the Fed Phrase Game. And join us on the 22nd for FEDPARDY!
