ON THE WEB: YOU TOO CAN HUNT FOR PLANETS

It seems that every few weeks we hear announcements from NASA that they have spotted another star system with planets - but there's probably a lot more to be found.

NASA's computers sift through data returned by the Kepler spacecraft, but sometimes it needs a human eye to spot a pattern in data which a computer would miss.

So you can have a go yourself! Go to the Planet Hunters website and give it a try. You may end up being the first person to spot an extra-solar planet.
